RosettaStocks LLC (“RosettaStocks,” “we,” “us”) operates rosettastocks.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

You provide:

• Account info — email and password (handled by Firebase Authentication).
• Portfolio data — holdings, tickers, shares, and labels you enter.
• Payment info — handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Communications — anything you send us (support emails, etc.).

Via connected accounts (Plaid):

Automatically:

• Usage & analytics — pages and sections viewed, device and browser info, via Google Analytics 4 (which uses cookies/identifiers).
• Technical & security data — IP address and request data processed by our infrastructure providers (including Cloudflare) to deliver and protect the Service.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the Service (accounts, portfolio tracking, screens).
• Process subscriptions and payments.
• Improve and analyze the Service (analytics).
• Communicate with you (service messages; marketing only where permitted, with opt-out).
• Maintain security and prevent fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Cookies & Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics 4, to understand usage and improve the Service. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

4. How We Share Information

• Service providers / processors acting on our behalf — e.g., Firebase/Google (authentication, database), Plaid (account linking), our payment processor, Google Analytics, Cloudflare (hosting/security), and Financial Modeling Prep (market data — we send tickers, not your identity).
• Legal / safety — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights and safety.
• Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers. No method is 100% secure. Connected-account access is read-only. Please use a strong, unique password.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal data while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal and tax obligations, then delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of certain processing:

• California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing.” We do not sell personal information.
• EU/UK (GDPR): rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal bases are contract performance, consent, and legitimate interests.

To exercise any right, email rosettastocks@gmail.com. You can also disconnect Plaid, delete portfolio data, or close your account from within the app.

9. International Users

We operate in the United States; using the Service means your data is processed in the U.S. and other countries where our providers operate.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service may link to third-party sites (for example, news sources). We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
